Birmingham, Ala.-based Andrews Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Center added nonsurgical spine physician Charles Carnel, MD, to its practice.
What you should know:
1. Dr. Carnel specializes in physical medicine and rehabilitation, and completed training in interventional spine and musculoskeletal medicine.
2. He earned his medical degree from Johnson City, Tenn.-based East Tennessee State University and completed a residency and fellowship at University of Alabama at Birmingham.
3. Dr. Carnel uses minimally invasive procedures to treat spine injuries.
4. He'll see patients at Andrews' locations at St. Vincent's Birmingham and St. Vincent's One Nineteen in Hover, Ala.
