New Haven, Conn.-based Yale University researchers found 67 percent of surgical specialists reported having a Republican party registration, according to The New York Times.

The following specialties are more likely to report a party registration with Republicans:

 

1. Surgery — 67 percent

 

2. Anesthesiology — 65 percent

 

3. Urology — 62 percent

 

4. ENT — 61 percent

 

5. Radiology — 59 percent

 

6. Ophthalmology — 57 percent

 

7. Physical/Rehab. — 54 percent

 

8. Dermatology — 53 percent

 

9. Family medicine — 51 percent

 

10. Emergency — 51 percent
