Little Rock, Ark.-based Arkansas Surgical Hospital will partner with Peerwell to improve patient preparation for joint replacement surgery.
Here's what you need to know:
1. The hospital will use Peerwell to optimize the health of hip and knee replacement patients before surgery so recovery may be smoother.
2. Patients undergoing surgery will be able to use Peerwell's mobile app to improve their pre-surgery health with daily lessons and nutrition, exercise, meditation and home preparation tips.
3. The app is an efficient alternative to the roughly 50 page manual most joint patients are given.
4. Patients may come into the surgery in better physical and mental shape than they otherwise would have due to the app.
