Falcon Waterfree teams up with Sloan to help Orthopaedic Institute for Children save 22.5M gallon of water and $1M — 5 things to know

Wayland, Mich.-based Falcon Waterfree Technologies and Franklin Park, Ill.-based Sloan donated 75 complete retrofit bathroom unites to Los Angeles-based Orthopaedic Institute for Children. The donation will help the orthopedic practice save almost $1 million and more than 22.5 gallons of water over the course of the products' lifetime.

Here are five things to know:

 

1. Each bathroom at the institute is outfitted with 40 low-flow faucets, 16 high-efficiency toilets and 15 water-free urinals.

 

2. OIC will retain more than 750,000 gallons of water and $25,000 in utility expenses each year.

 

3. Other organizations donating their time and help to the institute include the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation, Paramount Transportation Systems and the California Community Foundation, among others.

 

4. Falcon Waterfree develops water conservation solutions for commercial restrooms.

 

5. Sloan is the world's leading manufacturer of commercial plumbing systems.
