Seymour, Ind.-based Schneck Medical Center's new Schneck Professional Building debuts several departments on June 3 including neurosurgery and a pain center, reports Local News Digital.
The new 80,000-square-foot building will also feature primary care, surgical associates and a vein center among other services.
Further departments will open throughout the summer with the number of exam rooms increasing to between 120 and 150.
SMC first opened its doors in 1911 with just 17 beds, known then as Jackson County Schneck Memorial Hospital.
It now serves residents of Jackson, Jennings, Scott and Washington counties with over 1,000 staff members, 125 volunteers and almost 300 physicians.
