Jupiter (Fla.) Medical Center has been awarded five accreditations for spine surgery and total joint replacement, South Florida Hospital News reported Aug. 19.
Three things to know:
1. The hospital was designated a Blue Distinction Center+ for spine surgery and total hip and knee replacement. It also received the Gold Seal of Approval from The Joint Commission for spine surgery, total hip and knee replacement, and total shoulder replacement.
2. Jupiter Medical Center is the only hospital in Florida to receive all five accreditations, according to the news outlet.
3. The hospital recently installed a Mako robot, developed by Stryker, which enables surgeons to create 3D preoperative plans for joint replacements and then guides them through that plan intraoperatively.
