Dallas-based Novum Orthopedic Partners formed a new orthopedic management platform, partnering with three practices.
Novum on Dec. 29 closed partnerships with Arlington (Texas) Orthopedic Associates, Abilene (Texas) Sports Medicine & Orthopedics and Waxahachie (Texas) Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine, according to a Jan. 12 news release. Novum also invested in Abilene (Texas) Center of Orthopedics and Multispecialty and Baylor Scott & White Orthopedic and Spine Hospital at Arlington.
The practices are led by 34 orthopedic and spine physician partners and represent more than 300 employees over 12 clinical sites.
"Novum’s physician-centric approach to practice management is what attracted us," Arlington Orthopedic Associates President James Burnett, MD, said in the release. "Post-closing, we will remain in control of the daily delivery of care to our patients while benefiting from the operational expertise of Novum."
Novum is backed by A&M Capital Partners, a private equity firm.
