Thomas E. Brown, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at the University of Virginia Health System in Charlottesville.
With expertise in adult hip and knee reconstruction surgery, Dr. Brown serves as program director of UVA Health System's adult reconstruction fellowship program.
An associate orthopedic surgery professor at UVA Health, Dr. Brown has received the university's orthopedic surgery teaching award on three occasions.
Dr. Brown has authored and edited numerous papers on complex joint replacement for medical publications such as the Journal of Arthroplasty and Journal of Knee Surgery.
After earning his medical degree from Charleston-based Medical University of South Carolina, Dr. Brown completed his residency at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pa., and underwent orthopedic surgery fellowship training at the University of Virginia.
