Here are five orthopedic practices to know:
1) The Pediatric Orthopedic Center (Cedar Knolls, N.J.) The Pediatric Orthopedic Center has four offices in New Jersey. This practice exclusively treats pediatric orthopedic patients, offering youth and adolescent sports, trauma, spine deformity, hip disorder, congenital defect, growth disturbance and foot and ankle surgery services. The center is the first pediatric orthopedic practice in the New York area to offer BEAR (Bridge-Enhanced ACL Restoration) surgery, a less-invasive ACL repair surgery option.
2) Forté Sports Medicine and Orthopedics (Carmel, Ind.) Forté is an independent physician group offering orthopedic urgent care for bone, muscle, joint and sports medicine injuries. In April, the practice partnered with Franciscan Health Orthopedic Hospital (Carmel, Ind.) to develop the 166,000-square-foot orthopedic hospital and 69,000-square-foot medical office.
3) Sports Medicine North (Peabody, Mass.) Sports Medicine North offers specialty orthopedic care, including spine, shoulder, elbow, hand, hip, knee, foot, and ankle services, sports medicine, pain management, total joint replacement and revision, trauma, occupational health, and bone density/osteoporosis treatment. In April, Sports Medicine North partnered with Spire Orthopedic Partners based in Greenwich, Conn.
4) Motion Orthopaedics (Creve Coeur, Wentzville, Mo.) Motion Orthopaedics’ offers orthopedic surgery and sports medicine, and specializes in treatment of workplace-related injuries. In April, the practice opened a new clinic, imaging and surgery center in Wentzville, Mo.
5) UVA Health Orthopedic Center Ivy Road (Charlottesville, Va.) UVA Orthopedic Center offers joint replacement, sports medicine, orthopedic trauma, hand, wrist, elbow, spine, foot, and ankle care, prosthetics, and orthotics. The 200,000-square-foot facility, opened in April, features 90 clinic exam rooms, four operating rooms, imaging services, rehab space, a therapy gym and a pharmacy.
