Neal ElAttrache, MD, is scheduled to operate on Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Bryce Harper, ESPN reported Nov. 16.
Mr. Harper will have surgery Nov. 23 for an ulnar collateral ligament that he suffered in April, the report said. He recieved a platelet-rich plasma injection injection to his right elbow in May. However, Dr. ElAttrache determined the tear didn't heal on its own.
It's unknown if Mr. Harper will also need Tommy John surgery, the report said.
