Wade Johnson, MD, a sports medicine physician and director of sports medicine at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato, Minn., will serve as the official physician for the U.S. alpine ski team at the c according to a Jan. 10 report from CBS and Fox affiliate KEYC.
Dr. Johnson will travel with the team to the World Cup in Japan, where he will provide acute medical care and trauma emergency care for any incidents.
This is Dr. Johnson's first time traveling with the women's ski team, but he has provided care for the U.S. women's hockey team in Minnesota.
