Lehigh Valley Orthopedic Institute in Allentown, Pa., appointed Thomas Graham, MD, as its first physician in chief.
Dr. Graham will be responsible for developing and implementing new programs, services and technologies at the institute, which is part of Lehigh Valley Health Network, according to an April 18 news release.
He is a hand surgery specialist and has served as a hand surgery consultant, team physician or medical director for teams in the NFL, MLB, NHL and NBA as well as the PGA Tour. Throughout his career, Dr. Graham has provided care to more than 2,000 professional athletes.
Lehigh Valley Orthopedic Institute has more than 200 providers at 100 practice locations. Its surgeons perform more than 17,000 procedures each year, the release said.
