New York City-based Hospital for Special Surgery and University of Miami (Fla.) Health System are partnering for orthopedic care at UHealth SoLé Mia.
UHealth SoLé Mia is the health system's largest ambulatory facility and is scheduled to open in fall, according to a Jan. 14 news release. Under the collaboration, UHealth will build a musculoskeletal program and work with HSS to recruit surgeons at UHealth SoLé Mia.
"This goal relies on strategic collaborations with like-minded organizations and leveraging these relationships to enhance care models from routine to complex musculoskeletal conditions," Sheeraz Qureshi, MD, chief medical officer at HSS Florida, said in the release. "We are proud to partner with the University of Miami Health System and look forward to advancing the field of orthopedics together for South Florida residents."
