Gerald Williams, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon and director of the Shoulder and Elbow Center at Bryn Mawr, Pa.-based The Rothman Institute.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Williams serves as the president of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is a past president of the Pennsylvania Orthopaedic Society, Philadelphia Orthopaedic Society and American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons.
Board certified in orthopedic surgery, Dr. Williams is a professor at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. He is a member of the International Society of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology as well as Arthroscopy Association of North America.
Dr. Williams earned his medical degree from Philadelphia-based Temple University School of Medicine. He went on to complete his residency and fellowship training at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.
