Edward Wojtys, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at Ann Arbor, Mich.-based University of Michigan Health System.
Dr. Wojtys is also the William S. Smith Collegiate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery. A former Wolverine athlete, Dr. Wojtys serves on the NFL Injury and Safety Panel and the board of directors for the American
Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine.
For his work on female knee injuries and anterior cruciate ligament injuries, he was awarded the Donoghue and Excellence in Research awards from the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine.
Dr. Wojtys attended the University of Michigan Medical School and completed his residency at the University of Michigan Health System. He underwent fellowship training in sports medicine at the Cincinnati
Sportsmedicine and Orthopaedic Center.
