Healthcare rankings authority Dexur analyzed Medicare claims for the cost of care over a 90-day period for hip and knee replacements at hospitals in New York City.
Hospital for Special Surgery, Lenox Hill Hospital and NYU Langone's Tisch Hospital demonstrated the lowest cost of care for hip and knee replacements over a 90-day period, which tracks the patient journey from the date of admission.
The data includes the index hospitalizations, rehospitalization, home health, nursing home and ED costs.
