Grand Blanc, Mich.-based McLaren Health Care is injecting an additional $150 million into a health campus that will feature an orthopedic hospital in Lansing, Mich., the Lansing State Journal reports.

The investment, announced at a Sept. 3 press conference, increases the project's total budget to $600 million.

The campus, located near Michigan State University, will feature the new 262-bed McLaren Orthopedic Hospital, replacing the health system's facility of the same name in South Lansing.

McLaren plans to sell the old hospital buildings and property.

The new campus is expected to open in late 2021.
