DJO gained momentum in the second quarter of 2021 with two key acquisitions. Here are details on those transactions, along with two more spine and orthopedic device company mergers and acquisitions:
1. DJO acquired MedShape, an Atlanta-based company focusing on food and ankle devices.
2. DJO will acquire Switzerland-based medical technology company Mathys AG Bettlach, which focuses on joint replacements, synthetic bone grafts and sports medicine.
3. Spine device company Alphatec on June 7 welcomed the EOS Imaging team to its Carlsbad, Calif., facility. Alphatec received approval to acquire EOS imaging for $116.9 million in April.
4. 7D Surgical has been acquired by SeaSpine for a reported $110 million.
