Spinelogik sued Camber Spine alleging the Spira-C integrated fixation system infringes a patent covering technology for spinal fusions.
Four notes:
1. The lawsuit, filed Oct. 29 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, focuses on U.S. Patent No. 8,460,385. The patent covers technology for promoting cervical spinal fusion.
2. Spinelogik alleges Camber Spine's Spira-C infringes at least one claim of the patent. The lawsuit alleges the company was aware of the patent and willingly infringed it.
3. Spinelogik is asking for a jury trial and damages.
4. Camber Spine didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from Becker's.
