PrecisionOS' virtual reality surgical training platform has met five industry benchmarks for validation, the company said Feb. 8.
Validation determines how well the simulation mirrors real-world scenarios and achieves its purpose, according to a news release.
More than 15 papers about the platform's efficiency of learning, increased knowledge and improved technical skill have been published in journals including Archives of Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgery, Journal of Surgical Research, and Arthroscopy Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Research studies involving PrecisionOS have also won honors from organizations including American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons, Global Spine Congress and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
