A 3D-printed cervical anchor gets FDA clearance

Spinal Tech

CoreLink's Fusation cervical anchor received FDA 510(k) clearance, the devicemaker said March 8.

The Fusation system is designed for fusion and fixation of interbody devices in the cervical spine, according to a news release. The device is an alternative to traditional fixation screws that may interfere with a patient's anatomy.

It is 3D-printed with Mimetic Metal technology, which is CoreLink's patented material. The material emulates natural bone with a lattice structure and trabecular pores.
