Wellington Hsu, MD, is a spine surgeon at Chicago-based Northwestern Medicine.
He received his medical degree from Nashville, Tenn.-based Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and did his residency at University of California Los Angeles Medical Center, according to Northwestern's website. He also did a fellowship at UW Health in Madison, Wis.
Dr. Hsu is also a professor at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine. His practice focus areas include spinal fusion, spinal stenosis and sports-related spine injuries.
This year, he treated a soccer player from West Lafayette, Ind.-based Purdue University, according to a July 8 report from the Indianapolis Star. Sarah Griffith was living with back pain since high school, and it wasn't getting better after it persisted into college. Dr. Hsu performed a spinal fusion to treat spondylolisthesis.
