Neurosurgeon Charles L. Branch Sr., MD, who practiced in San Antonio for nearly 30 years, recently died of endocarditis at the age of 87, according to a My San Antonio report.
In 2004, Dr. Branch received the American Associations of Neurological Surgeons Humanitarian Award for his medical mission work in Nigeria, Haiti and Guyana. He was instrumental in developing spinal fusion techniques.
