Cayden Lindstrom, a top prospect for the Columbus Blue Jackets, had a minimally invasive microdiscectomy in Los Angeles, NHL.com reported Nov. 20.
The procedure was short, and he is expected to play in this NHL season, the team's general manager Don Waddell said in the report.
It wasn't reported who operated on Mr. Lindstrom.
