Neurosurgeon Kamal Woods, MD, was recently appointed chair of the 2020 Dayton Heart Ball, reports Troy Daily News.
Four things to know:
1. Dr. Woods is medical director of Dayton, Ohio-based Kettering Brain and Spine, operated by Kettering Health Network.
2. He specializes in minimally invasive spine surgery, including robotic spine surgery.
3. Dr. Woods completed a fellowship in minimally invasive and complex spine surgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
4. The 2020 Dayton Heart Ball will take place in March and hopes to raise $500,000 for the American Heart Association.
