Centinel Spine sees record Prodisc revenue in Q2

Spine

Medical device company Centinel Spine has released its second quarter operating results, showing a record number of Prodisc total disc replacement systems sold totaling $17.5 million in sales.

Centinel Spine also saw a 64 percent growth in sales from the second quarter of 2022 to the second quarter of 2023 and a 24 percent growth in sales from the previous quarter.

Overall growth continues to be driven by sales of the newly released Prodisc C Vivo and Prodisc C SK systems, according to the Aug. 1 press release.

The U.S. Prodisc cervical business grew 97 percent in the second quarter of the year, while the global Prodisc lumbar business grew 45 percent.

Nearly 800 procedures were completed using the Prodisc system in the second quarter of the year, with almost 300 surgeons now using the system.

Looking ahead to full-year 2023, Centinel Spine expects to see a 40 percent growth year over year.
