Spine surgeon Jay Khanna, MD, MBA, has been named to three leadership positions in Washington, D.C. by Columbia, Md.-based MedStar Health, according to the company.
Dr. Khanna now serves as the physician executive director of the MedStar Orthopaedic Institute's Washington, D.C. center; chief of orthopedic surgery at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital; and academic chair of the department of orthopedic surgery at Georgetown University School of Medicine.
He previously worked at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore, where he was the vice chair and professor of orthopedic surgery for 16 years.
Dr. Khanna earned both his undergraduate and medical degrees at Georgetown. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and School of Medicine.
