Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Jake McCabe underwent spine surgery, the team said Sept. 13.
Mr. McCabe had a cervical spine procedure and is expected to return to the ice in 10 to 12 weeks. The team did not say who operated on him.
The recovery time means he will likely miss the first 15 to 20 games of the 2022-23 NHL regular season, the Chicago Sun-Times reported Sept. 13.
