Thomas Graham, MD, is scheduled to operate on New York Mets third baseman J.D. Davis, northjersey.com reported Oct. 2.
Mr. Davis will undergo surgery Oct. 5 to repair a ligament between the middle and ring fingers on his left hand. Dr. Graham is expected to use localized tissues to reinforce the area.
Mr. Davis will spend approximately two months recovering, and he's expected to be ready for spring training. The infielder said he hopes the surgery ends his history of injuries and pain in his hand.
