Neal ElAttrache, MD, will perform surgery Monday on Baltimore Orioles third baseman Manny Machado's left knee at the Kerlan-Jobe Clinic in Los Angeles.
The reconstructive surgery will repair his medial patellofemoral ligament, according to a news release. The procedure will require four to six months of rehabilitation, and it's uncertain whether Mr. Machado will be ready to play next spring.
