James Andrews, MD, performed surgery on a torn labrum in New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez's right shoulder Tuesday.
Because of the injury and surgery, Mr. Sanchez is out for the season, according to a news release. The quarterback injured his shoulder during the Jets' third preseason game against the New York Giants and was placed on injury reserve Sept. 14. His estimated recovery time has not been specified.
