James Andrews, MD, performed a nerve transposition in the right elbow of Chicago White Sox's pitcher Jake Petricka, MLB.com reports.

1. Dr. Andrews also debrided the flexor tendon in Mr. Petricka's elbow.
2. Mr. Petricka will resume throwing in three to four months.
3. Dr. Andrews is a founding partner of Gulf Breeze, Fla.-based Andrews Institute for Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine. He is one of the leading orthopedic surgeons in the world, and his center is internationally recognized for its sports medicine treatment.
4. Dr. Andrews is the Tampa Bay Rays' orthopedic medical director.
