SPR Therapeutics appointed Peter Staats, MD, to chief medical advisor.
Three notes:
1. Dr. Staats brings more than 30 years of experience in pain management and neuromodulation technology to his position at SPR Therapeutics.
2. A pain management specialist, Dr. Staats served as the president of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, North American Neuromodulation Society and New Jersey Society of Interventional Pain Physicians.
3. Dr. Staats has co-edited and authored 10 textbooks on pain medicine, and he has written nearly 300 articles, book chapters and abstracts on the diagnosis and management of complex pain problems.
