HSS orthopedic surgeon joins NanoFUSE Biologics' growing scientific advisory board

NanoFUSE Biologics appointed Answorth Allen, MD, Jan. 16 to its scientific advisory board, reports Benzinga.

Four things to know:

1. Dr. Allen is an attending orthopedic surgeon at Hospital for Special Surgery and associate professor of clinical orthopedic surgery at Weill Cornell Medical College, both in New York City.

2. He specializes in sports medicine with a particular interest in shoulder, knee, and elbow surgery.

3. NanoFUSE Biologics, a portfolio company of KICVentures and distributed by SpineFrontier, developed the only FDA-cleared bioactive glass and demineralized bone matrix combined device.

4. The company recently added spine surgeons Alok Sharan, MD, and Darren Lebl, MD, to its scientific advisory board.
