Spine surgeon Mark McFarland, DO, performed a surgery with SpineFrontier's REmind pedicle screw system and LES P-LIFT interbody cages as well as NanoFuse Bioactive Matrix.
Here are four highlights:
1. Dr. McFarland performed the surgery at Newport News, Va.-based Bon Secours Mary Immaculate Hospital June 14.
2. SpineFrontier's LES P-LIFT implant is intended to limit tissues disruption and spare patient bone. The REmind screw system is designed to promote vertebrae stabilization.
3. NanoFuse Biologics is intended to enhance the fusion. NanoFuse Biologics features a combination of demineralized bone matrix and bioactive glass.
4. Dr. McFarland completed his orthopedic spine surgery fellowship at Clearwater-based Florida Spine Institute.
