More than 6,000 members have joined the Biologic Association within the first six months of its website launch.
Founded in 2018, the organization advocates for the responsible clinical use of biologics, the development of biologic standards and promotes members to report on the safety and efficacy of products.
The Biologic Association is a collaboration of several professional societies, including the Arthroscopy Association of North America, the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine and the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine.
Orthopedic surgeons Jason Dragoo, MD, and Bert Mandelbaum, MD, serve as co-chairs of the organization, which will hold its second annual meeting in Nashville, Tenn., in July 2021.
