Fujifilm, IU School of Medicine join forces to research AI and medical imaging: 4 notes

Fujifilm partnered with Indianapolis-based Indiana University School of Medicine to develop medical imaging diagnostic support systems using artificial intelligence.

Here are four things to know:

1. The initial scope of the research agreement includes using Fujifilm's AI technology to segment and quantify sarcopenia in medical images.

2. The partnership will also focus on detecting and quantifying brain lesions in neuroradiology imaging exams.

3. Fujifilm develops AI solutions under its REiLI brand.

4. The IU School of Medicine is affiliated with Indianapolis-based IU Health, which encompasses 17 hospitals and employs approximately 33,000 people.
