Sonex Health entered into a co-marketing agreement with Samsung NeuroLogica Corp. to promote ultrasound-guided micro-invasive procedures.
Here are four things to know.
1. Sonex Health is a medical device company created by physicians and healthcare leaders at Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic. The company focuses on the safe, rapid treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome, a condition that affects 12 million Americans each year and is one of the leading causes of lost productivity.
2. Sonex Health created the SX-One MicroKnife, which enables micro-invasive carpal tunnel release through a micro-incision up to five times smaller than the incision made during traditional CTR surgeries with Meerkat Technology.
3. Samsung NeuroLogica is the healthcare subsidiary of Samsung Electronics. It is the global corporate headquarters and manufacturer of Samsung CT, and it is also the U.S. headquarters for sales, marketing and distribution of all Samsung digital radiography and ultrasound systems.
4. The SX-One MicroKnife makes an incision so small it can be closed with an adhesive bandage or strip. High-quality musculoskeletal ultrasound imaging is a key aspect of this procedure; ultrasound guidance allows real-time visualization of the critical anatomy surrounding the device during this procedure, designed to protect patients and promote a speedier recovery.
