New Lambton Heights, Australia-based John Hunter Hospital installed a new $1.8 million O-arm machine with two stealth stations, The Herald reports.

The system is intended for use in brain and spine surgery. It also has software applications for neurosurgical procedures including biopsy and tumor removal.

Surgeons can use the O-arm in the sterile field of the operation. This is the first Australian O-arm system installation in a public hospital outside Sydney.
