Pasco, Wash.-based Lourdes Health recently purchased the da Vinci Xi surgical system, the Tri-City Herald reports.
Here are three things to know.
1. The da Vinci Xi system is the only one in the Tri-Cities, which include Richland, Kennewick, and Pasco.
2. Lourdes Health already had a da Vinci Si system, which it will continue to use along with the Xi model.
3. Lourdes Health CEO John Serle credits Ascension, the hospital's current owner, and its prospective owner RCCH HealthCare Partners for bringing in the new technology. State officials are reviewing a sale proposal and a decision is expected to come this summer.
