1. The groups are the first in the state to offer Globus Medical's ExcelsiusGPS.
2. Lon M. Baronne, II, MD, orthopedic spine surgeon at Louisiana Orthopedic Specialists, told KLFY.com, the robot allows him to perform more minimally invasive surgery.
3. The organizations' surgeons commented the robot helps reduce hospital stays and recovery periods.
4. The ExcelsiusGPS is designed to cut radiation exposure, streamline workflow and help with reproducible implant placement.
5. The platform is compatible with pre-operative CT, intra-operative CT and fluoroscopic imaging modalities.
