Fort Lauderdale-based PET Imaging Institute of South Florida is set to open its newest PET/CT facility in Fort Lauderdale at the Cypress Creek Medical Pavilion July 31.
Here’s what you need to know:
1. The facility is opening in an underserved area.
2. The Fort Lauderdale location is the only PET/CT facility in the Fort Lauderdale area to have a GE Discovery IQ PET/CT scanner.
3. “Our goal is to connect the latest advances in medical technology to the people who need it most,” said Barry Charnick, MD, the facility's medical director.
