Device company Titan Medical secured a patent for its single-port robotic SPORT Surgical System.
Here are three things to know:
1. The technology is designed to provide augmented data to surgeons and assist with safer instrument insertion and system positioning.
2. The surgical system comprises instruments with single-use replaceable tips, 3D visuals on a flat-screen monitor and an open workstation.
3. With a single-arm mobile patient cart, the system is designed to assist in single and multi-quadrant surgeries.
