James Yue, MD, joined Connecticut Orthopaedic Specialists, according to the Post-Chronicle.
Here are five things to know:
1. Dr. Yue previously served as the co-chief of orthopedic spine surgery at New Haven, Conn.-based Yale School of Medicine and director of the ACGME Yale Spine Fellowship. He has a professional interest in endoscopic spine surgery and motion preservation techniques.
2. As a member of Connecticut Orthopaedic Specialists, Dr. Yue will see patients in Shelton, Hamden and Essex, Conn.
3. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Yue has been the principle investigator or co-investigator in several clinical trials related to disc replacement, motion sparing techniques and endoscopic spine surgery. He is the chair of the education committee for the International Society for the Advancement of Spine Surgery.
4. Throughout his career, Dr. Yue published and presented more than 100 scientific articles and abstracts, and he serves as a reviewer for multiple spine journals.
5. Dr. Yue earned his medical degree from Northwestern University School of Medicine in Chicago and completed orthopedic residency training at Case Western Reserve University Hospital in Cleveland. His additional training includes fellowships at RA Cowley Shock Trauma Hospital in Baltimore and Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham, U.K.
