Integra LifeSciences Launches Four New Surgical Instruments

Integra LifeSciences introduced four new products at the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses conference in Denver, Colo., which include Secure-Cut Reposable Endoscopic Scissors, Ruggles Bayonet Curettes, Jarit Disposable Bi-polar Forceps and an improved LumbarTrak retraction system, according to an Integra news release.


Secure-Cut reposable scissors are composed of a cost effective reusable carbon fiber handle with a PEEK shaft and "always sharp" single use scissor tips and includes a secure connection comprised of stainless steel threading that ensures a robust, lasting connection; and a protective PEEK insulation that prevents arcing, according to the release

The Ruggles Bayonet Curettes allow spine surgeons to see the operative field more clearly by providing an offset handle and is designed to complement Integra's array of neuro/spine instruments.

The Jarit Disposable Bi-polar Forceps deliver gentle coagulation between highly polished instrument tips to minimize coagulum adhesion, according to the release.

The improved LumbarTrak retractor system incorporates enhancements to the frame that provide unparalleled strength and is designed to help surgeons establish prompt and lasting exposure during their lumbar spine procedure, according to the release.
