Alphatec Spine, a medical device company specializing in spine products, has announced its consolidated revenues for the fourth quarter 2010 were $46 million, an increase of 38.4 percent from the $33.3 million reported for 4Q 2009, according to a company news release.
Dirk Kuyper, president and CEO of Alphatec Spine, attributes the company's success to its focus on expanded research and development efforts, particularly in developments for aging spine, minimally invasive surgery and biologics.
Domestic revenues for 4Q 2010 were $32.1 million, an increase of 13.5 percent from the $28.3 million reported for 4Q 2009. Additionally, international revenues for 4Q 2010 were $13.9 million, an increase of $8.9 million from the $5 million reported for 4Q 2009.
During the fourth quarter, the company acquired Scient'x subsidiaries, which accounts for $6.8 million of the total $332 million reported expenses.
