Exactech, a developer and producer of bone and joint restoration products for hip, knee, shoulder, spine and biologic materials, has announced fourth quarter 2010 revenues of $51.8 million, indicating a 7 percent increased compared to 4Q revenues in 2009, according to a company news release.

For the 4Q, knee implant revenue decreased 2 percent to $20.6 million; extremities implant revenue increased 32 percent to $8.6 million; hip implant revenues increased 21 percent to $8.2 million; and biologic and spine segment revenues increased 7 percent to $7.4 million.

Exactech Chairman and CEO Bill Petty said the company's shoulder business, its  second-largest business segment, alone reached segment sales of $30 million in 2010. The company's largest business segment, the knee business, was only up 1 percent during the year due to "industry softness" and marketing transitions in overseas markets, according to the news release.
