Here are 10 recent orthopedic and spine practice expansions. Athens (Ga.) Orthopedic Clinic plans to open a sports performance and rehabilitation center this December, with services including athletic screenings, nutrition, diet planning, physical therapy and personalized training.

The Foot and Ankle Institute of Darien (Conn.)
has moved into an expanded 3,200-square-foot office space, which is nearly triple the size of its previous facility, and now included sports medicine, dermatology, vascular, neurological, joint pain and ankle surgery in its services.

Orthopedic Associates of Hartford (Conn.)
acquired Orthopedic Surgeons of Central Connecticut in New Britain, which includes three physicians.

Orthopedic Specialists of Southwest Florida in Ft. Myers have completed construction on a 9,000-square-foot surgical center that includes three operating rooms.

Rockford (Ill.) Orthopedic Associates a purchased $2.4 million space for its seventh clinic that covers 57,000 square feet and will have four surgeons with a special interest in upper extremities, sports medicine, joint replacement and orthopedic spine care.

Philadelphia-based Rothman Institute has acquired Orthopedic Specialists in Bryn Mawr, Pa., and 35 percent stake in Physician Care Surgical Hospital in Royersford, Pa.

Florida-based practice Sea Spine Orthopedic Institute has opened its fourth location in Tampa.

Seacoast Brain & Spine Center in Dartmouth, Mass., opened a new outpatient clinic for patients with neurological brain and spine disorders, including chronic back and neck pain.

Shasta Orthopaedics has opened a new 56,000-square-foot facility in Redding, Calif., that will offer orthopedic specialists, diagnostic services, minor outpatient procedures, non-surgical injections and physical therapy.

Newburgh, N.Y.-based Somers Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine Group has opened a new MRI suite that can accommodate patients up to 500 pounds comfortably.
