Boston-based American Well and San Francisco-based Doximity are working to offer remote care for physicians looking to extend care to more patients, according to MedCity News.
Here are four facts:
1. Two years ago, the companies partnered to expand telemedicine services.
2. Nearly 50 percent of the physicians using American Well's Amwell telemedicine platform used Doximity, a social network, to obtain access to the platform.
3. Sixty-four percent of consumers would like to see a physician via video, according to American Well surveys.
4. The surveys also found 57 percent of physicians would participate in video conferences with patients.
