The healthcare charity Illinois Elks Children's Care will sponsor a free, appointment-only children's orthopedic assessment clinic at the Effingham-based Bonutti Clinic this Thursday, Aug. 25, according to Effingham Daily News.
Here's what you need to know:
1. There will be no charges for any services at the clinic.
2. Orthopedic surgeon Timothy Gray, MD, of the Bonutti Clinic, will be the clinician in charge.
3. At the clinic, children can be assessed for bone and joint development — this opportunity is especially noteworthy for children experiencing back, knee, leg or ankle pain.
4. Illinois Elks Children's Care will attempt to provide financial assistance for those who need additional treatment, like therapy services or corrective shoes.
